Dr. Wanda  Hicks is a Nurse Practitioner Specialist in Mobile, Alabama. She graduated with honors in 2003. Having more than 17 years of diverse experiences, especially in Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Hicks affiliates with St. Vincent's East Hospital in Birmingham, AL and Mobile Infirmary in Mobile, AL. Dr. Hicks cooperates with many other doctors and specialists in medical group Eastern Hospital Medicine PC.

Dr. Hicks is the Regional Nurse Leader (RNL) is a front-line leader of the Nursing Network who partners with the Regional Volunteer Services Officer (RVSO) to recruit health and mental health professional volunteers per regional needs. The RNL provides guidance on nursing and health matters and helps build health and mental health professional capacity in the region.  RNLs promote volunteer engagement, recognition, retention, and satisfaction across the business lines and work to achieve the Chief Nurse Initiatives.

Her professional experience includes CEO and Founder-Hicks Home-Based Primary Care, LLC; Chief Nurse Practitioner-Franklin Primary Health Center-FQHC-Clinic Hospitalist; Providence Hospital-Hospitalist; Easter Hospital Medicine-Hospitalist/LTC; Southern Care Hospice-FNP-face to face visits; Bishop State Community College – Clinical Associate Professor; Hospitalist Plus-Locum-NP Hospitalist; Check-Up Clinic-NP Walmart; Mobile Infirmary and Infirmary West-ER; Springhill Memorial-Tele-RN; Long Term Care- DON/ADON/RN Supervisor/LPN Supervisor; wound care LPN/QMA/CAN; Searcy Hospital-Psychiatric Hospital-LPN and Group Homes/Developmentally Disabled Facility-St. Vincent’s New Hope/Hillhaven.
